I think they're nice, but not in keeping with the rest of the UI style.  I actually prefer the old icons for this reason.  (Designing UIs are part of my real-life job, so this inconsistency bothers me.)

You know, I was kind of put off at first also, but they grow on you.  Since they really expanded the  number of these Vault Artifacts it makes sense to give them their own look.  Wonder if they're using the AI to generate them?
