Kol Battleship

I was in late game and had some large battles.  In one fleet, I had Kol Battleship and when it would fire its main beam weapon, there was no graphic of it happening.  In another system, another fleet also had a Kol Battleship and it would show the beam firing.

Just reporting.

Providing a savegame would be best here, and maybe some replication steps. How large were the fleets, did the Kol beam function normally before etc. Right now it's almost impossible to do anything about it as a dev.

I think this happened a lot a couple patches back as well.

I have encountered the same bug during late game encounters where I am bringing in huge 2000 supply fleets into encounters with enemy AI fleets of around ~1700 supply. Probably have the timer run up to around ~5+ hours in-game-time, I will often have supporting garrisons feeding anywhere from ~150 to ~750+ more supply into the gravity well also. I noticed some beams being fired during the battle, sometimes here and there from one of the Ankylon's eight beam turrets, then maybe on a Kol or two a beam might also be seen here and there. This all while there are hundreds of Gardas, fighters, bombers, dozens of Harckas and Javelis',  eight or more capital ships, plus all the units the AI brings. Zooming in and out, panning around and moving around the battlefield with the keys to see all the ships fighting each other at the same time. It looks fantastic, but definitely very noisy in the late game with so many ships everywhere.

A save game of this situation would be very helpful.

This bug was there even in december when I first played.  It is not about the effect not showing.

Cooldown is started, the thing supposedly fires, but neither the visual, nor damage happens.

It randomly stops working and once it stops it cant fire again, until you level the skill up. (temporary fix) And even that sometimes does not work.

If memory serves right, given enough time, it would always stop working.

That means, I never bothered to level up the beam again because it wasnt random once upon a time occurence, but always.

Start the game, use the kol beam right from the start and you are bound to experience the bug if you watch your unit. I was actually sure that you would have known about the issue, because it is so glaring and extremely easy to encounter. Consistently.

I tried the kol beam yet again and my first kol that I started using at the start lost its damage and graphical effect 40 minutes in the game. Sometimes it happens sooner, sometimes later. As I wrote above, the ability bugs out consistently.
