Greyed out buttons

I dont have acces to multiplayer or the custom race generation in the game. The buttons are all greyed out. This is both in the original game and supernova. Two buttons at the main menu are also greyed out and just says coming soon. I guess one is the workshop. Really need help fixing this. Game is on Epic.

Hello!

Multiplayer is currently being overhauled for Supernova, and not available at this time. However, custom race generation should be functional when you click new game, could you provide a screenshot?

Heres some images on how it looks.

Hey, yes, as mentioned by Ramma, Multiplayer is supposed to be grayed out.
While the generate button not.

In order to use generate button, you need to have internet connection.
Are you on steam or epic?

I am on epic and have internet connection. The workshop/metaverse is also greyed out, which I presume should be working now?

It's turned off in Supernova - they're working on improvements.  It'll be back soon - we hope *_*

The "Generate" button on the create custom Civ should not be greyed out.  I just checked and it's working for me in both "Supernova" and "Supernova - Insiders Edition".  Did you try verifying your files?

Does it change at all or allow you to hit generate once you enter a prompt in the top left?

I have verified files and it still says "user not authenticated". I tried the original game, and I have multiplayer there, but the metaverse and mod manager is greyed out. Should that be the case?

Hey, there are multiple possible reasons behind it. Could you check if this thread helps you with the issue:

Hey, please let me know if this issue has resolved with the new Insider Build update

How to opt-into a specific build:

On Steam:

  • Select "Galactic Civilizations IV: Supernova in your Steam Library list.
  • Right-click and select Properties.
  • Select the BETAS tab.
  • From the dropdown, select the desired build (Insiders) and exit the dialog.
  • Steam should pull down the changed files; if you ever want to go back, do the same as above but select
    default (or None).

On Epic For Insider Build:

To enable the patch, please do the following:

  • Open the Epic Launcher
  • Select "Galactic Civilizations IV: Supernova - Insider's Edition"/ TEST Edition
  • Install and play!

Use this link and choose ask a question. After submitting, wait for the answer and note your ticket number. Do not resubmit until you get an answer as it will kick your request to the end of the queue.

We've been working on the support ticket for this lately, and released a new Insider build update, think it should resolve this, can you confirm? If not please send over a save file or relevant files via dropbox link

It is not resolved no. How do I send a save file to dropbox?

I still need help with this. latest release still shows access denied.

With full release this problem still exists both on Epic and Steam. If you cant fix it let me know, so I can request a refund.
