Triangle Upper Left Corner on Research Buttons

Hey all, anyone able to tell me what that triangle stands for? It is on the Ferro rounds and Missile rounds upgrade, the hanger turrets etc. Thanks in advance!

It means it has a dependency on a research subject that is in another area (i.e. a line can't be drawn to it to show the connection). If you read the tooltip it will tell you which one it is.
