I think it would be interesting if new unpopulated bubble sectors would pop up mid game with brand new resources to encourage a second colony rush after unlocking more advanced slipstream tech
I like this idea. Definitely link it to a new hard to research technology that unlocks a few paths to previously unexplored sectors. You could even have it that ships traveling these hazardous routes have a 10-25% chance of being lost forever.
Honestly that could really change the dynamic in an interesting way, thanks for sharing the idea!
I was just thinking the same exact thing. Current game is deadlocked and becoming a grind and was thinking if a last sector was found with resources. Or worse, a whole sector of dreadlords, pirates, or monsters oh my!!!
there could also be a sector that pops up with a dangerous technologically advanced malevolent civ that suddenly threatens the rest of the galaxy. or a technologically advanced benevolent civ that if you can convince them to like you will shower you with advanced techs and recources.
The ideas only get better! This is why brainstorming is cool
