Haven't seen any specific skins yet, but Winamp5 does use all v2 and v3 skins

I wish there were more skins available for WA3/5. I like the freeform abilities, but so far haven't found a skin that I like. Often skinners put that shiny glass look on the readout and it makes it look nice, but awful to try and read. Generally I only keep a slim bar of it going so a skin isn't crucial, just they seem too artsy. Oh well guess I can't complain too much since I don't make skins hehe.

I still prefer wa2 because its some much faster loading and uses less resources, and there are som many skins for it

We'll probably see some when WA5 is officially released, as of now it's at RC10 (?), so it won't be too long I guess. I think I read something about the "Modern skin" being somewhat like WA3, built up with images and xml. Just checked the Winamp folder to make sure, png's and xml. So if someone know xml, they could begin messing around with it. I find the modern skin much faster than WA3 skins, but a little slower than WA2 skins.

No-one is going to expend serious time and effort on skinning a proggy while its ultimate final form may be open to change.

Apart from any comparative complexity daunting prospective skinners, it's probably just lack of confidence that the thing will actually be 'final' and not majically Jump to WinAMP v7 - the 2+3+5-3 version....
