GalCiv4 Bugs

I have gathered information about bugs in GalCiv4. Instead of posting all the bugs here, they are all in a document in Open Office format. It should be easily opened in Word.

The document is available here.

In the linked document I discuss the Festron and what they supposedly can and can't do.  I also show some examples of them not following the "rules" of what they can and can't do.

I'm playing as the Festron in my current game and found a violation of the "rules" as I understand them.

The Yor and I started in the same sector.  They surprised me by declaring war earlier than I expected.  I'm not sure when or why, but the Onyx Hive joined in the war.  We managed to destroy the Yor.  I took two of their core worlds, including Iconia, and made them core worlds for me.

They each had only one citizen, a Yor, so their population didn't grow.  I made two colony ships, put a fellow Festron on each one, and send one to each of the core worlds so they would have population that could grow.

After enough growth, I planned to use the Yor for a starbase.  I wasn't worried about anything happening to the Yor because, as posted in the document linked above, we Festron have no use for the Yor.

Later, I went back to Iconia to check on the population and found this.

The population had grown as expected.  The Yor still looks like a Yor, but it has a Festron name and is described as a Festron.

This is a major problem with the Festron as they exist now.  They don't follow the rules they seem to have about how they can interact with the other types of races.

I think a review needs to done about the Festron and how they are supposed to interact with other races and how they actually interact with them.  This includes interacting with silicon-based races, like the Onyx Hive, and plants, like the Baratak Grove.
