Tiles 2 Previews are ENORMOUS.

They're so big you see at most 3 previews.

I'm trying out tiles and and I love the concept, but as I'm noticing is a rather irritating trend with Stardock Software, They are all fantastic ideas that lack key custimzation options needed to make it feel good or apply too wide use cases. (Such as Groupy's inability to customize shortcuts, SpaceMonger's lack of a TreeSize style tree-view, etc.)

Tiles 2 previews are absolutely HUMONGOUS. I don't see any way to adjust how large the tiles are, making it necessary to scroll through windows each and every time I wish to use them if I'm working with more than...3 windows. And I have the bar set to Large too. I also didn't see options like how to display tiles or organize them by last use.

It's a great idea, but it falls short of the Taskbar just based on the how poorly it uses its screen real estate.

The size of previews is linked to width of the bar.  The wider the bar, the wider and taller the previews as aspect ratio has to be maintained.  Making a less wide tile wouldn't achieve much as you would have blank space instead.

The simple solution to this would be to either:

  1. Resize the previews.
  2. Have a standard size for windows and show the window within that.

Preferably both options. It's definitely possible, because Tiles 2 already does it for some windows:

Tiles 2 would be (extremely) beneficial for my use cases if it could:

  • Change the size of the preview icon
    • Preferably with option to customize it to any size
  • Standardize preview icon size (fit the window preview to preset borders versus a 1:1 representation)

Features that would be Extremely helpful (but not deal-breaking):

  • Make previews larger/smaller with a shortcut (ie, CTRL Zoom over blank space for all icons, a specific icon to adjust just that one)
  • Option to set user-defined dimensions for the preview grid
  • Top or bottom of screen positioning
  • Appearing on the monitor the mouse is currently positioned in (shortcut button)

Something nice to have:

  • Mouseover a preview displays a larger preview. Useful when using smaller previews & many programs or web tabs.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, you do have this setting.

Thanks

That's better, I might be able to work with that, but it still misses out on a lot of potential Tiles 2 has.
