Help with Understanding Dynamic Orbits/Phase lanes

I really don't understand how the Dynamic Orbits work, i see colored lines when zoomed out, but i don't understand what they mean.

Is there a guide, or explanation somewhere on how they work? I've searched the forum (all 14 pages at this time) and haven't found an answer. For such a big change/new feature to the game I'm surprised there isn't a good guide with images explaining how it works.

Help me Obi Wan, you're my only hope.

Sorry, everything is still in flux and not all info makes it to all the locations (yet!).

I'm happy to explain.

Really quick summary of current state (subject to change):

- The orbit lines indicate where that planetary object will be in 10 minutes.

- Yellow lines are prograde.

- Red lines are retrograde.

- Planets closer to the star move (orbit) faster than those further out.

- Phase lanes can change based on the orbiting dynamics (ex. a planet rotates to intersect a phase lane will cut that phase lane in two).
