Legions Carried Question

I just put together a new large ship and noticed something that I do not understand.  In the screen snapshot below you can see that the description for my ship says "Legions Carried  1", but as you can see from the list of components, I did not add a Transport module to my ship.  What does the "Legions Carried 1" mean?

This happens when you put your cursor on a transport or a fleet with a transport and get a tool tip that shows there are legions.  It can be any ship or fleet, not just yours.  That information then carries over to many tool tips after that.  The way to stop it is to put your cursor on any ship or fleet without a transport.

This is due to a bug in the way tool tips get the information to display.  It has existed since GalCiv3.  I reported the problem in this post in April, 2020.  The detail is actually in a file that can be downloaded from Dropbox.  The link is still active.  The details are in Item #10 on page 3.  It shows that this applies to more than legions carried.  That document has links that are also still active.

I've seen this in GalCiv4, but I just ignored it since I don't expect it to be fixed.

Your statement reflects one of my major disappointments with GalCiv4: there are many things that visually tell the player that the game is not "ready for prime time" and that seem like they should be relatively easy to fix ( i.e. text that is misspelled, unclear or just plain inaccurate, inaccurate travel times, etc.) that do not get fixed.  In my opinion, these are the things that should be high priority fixes because they tarnish the image of the game and should be easy to fix.  While I agree that things like the way battles are waged needs to be reworked, those are changes that will probably take a lot of resources for a long time to accomplish and should therefore be a lower priority.  I am not arguing that 100% of resources should be assigned to these cosmetic fixes, but I am arguing that over 50% should be assigned to getting these blemishes on the product fixed A.S.A.P.  It will go a long way towards improving players perception of the game.

Thank you for the feedback! The team has been made aware, logged this issue and is actively working on it. We really do appreciate the report and insights. I'm personally a huge advocate for accessibility improvements, and hope to see similar things rectified as we progress.
