Any easy way to adjust old skins? The start menu is misaligned.

Some of my favorite skins are from way back in the XP era.  For example, Eminence, DogmaX4, and DogmaX2a.  But when you try to apply some of them on any modern OS, the start menu looks all misaligned.  The same has been true for every Windowblinds version after XP, I just never bothered reporting it until now.

Is there any easy way to fix this?  I doubt those skins will ever be officially updated.

DogmaX2a: DogmaXwf variant

DogmaX4: Standard3 variant

DogmaX4: Standard4 variant

DogmaX4: Standard4 Shade variant

Aura
This was a theme included with some old version of Windowblinds.
The start button has been misaligned in everything after XP... but the menu itself is aligned correctly.
This proves that old themes can still work.

Eminence
This looks really good with Windows 11's medium taskbar.

They can be fixed in SkinStudio, but as for easy?  I dunno. Probably not.

A WB skinner would think it easy, I guess.

it would be very easy for current skinners to fix them, but they wont, because they dont have the rights to the skins.. apparently they would need permission from the original creator of those skins.. and most of those skinners are long gone never to return.. but i dont really think they would even care if someone did decide to update them.. they prolly wouldnt even ever find out about it lol

But, it would be a beginning to a lot of copyright infringments, which is how you become De***ntArt.

Meaning, if WC allowed this, where would it stop?   If you can overlook one infringement, why not another?  Then it snowballs.

The safest thing to do would be for somebody who knows skinning in and out to just post an article explaining how to do it in SkinStudio.  For example  what options/sliders/etc are most relevant?

I haven't tried it in ages, but even the last time I did, I didn't know how to do anything with it.

Modifying a skin is perfectly legal...even posting a screen shot of it (if enough of the wallpaer is obscured) is ok.

The problem is distribution: That is not permissible. Intellectual property is just that...the author/artist's property and taking it and doing aything with it is illegal. Jafo has commented on this many times and his expertise on this is worth searching out in forums.
