ObjectDock running blocks Standard App

Hello,

2 weeks ago I reinstalled my computer. After a few days an issue occured: When double-clicking on a File associated with VLC, VLC won't open. The system is Windows 11.

I made some troubleshooting, and in the end it seems like Object Dock is the cause. With Object Dock running, I am unable to set standard apps, because the menu to choose a standard app does not appear (I click on "opne with" > "choose other app" and nothing appears. Same goes for the function in the setting). When ObjectDock is closed, I am able to choose the standard apps again and VLC-files will start by doubleclicking on them. This is reproducable - restarting ObjectDock will block the same functions again.

This workaround worked for me to get the doubleclick back running: close ObjectDock, reinstall VLC, choose the standard App, and then restart ObjectDock. While ObjectDock is running, I still can't change standard apps, but I am now able to doubleclik on files again.

How can I fix this issue, so ObjectDock no longer blocks this function?

Thank you in advance for your help! :)

Object Dock is not compatible with Windows 10 or 11.

Hi,

I wasn't aware of that. Guess it's time to change the software then.

Thank you for your quick answer!
