automatically group windows from different applications

Hello,

There is an option to automatically group windows from the same application, for example 'automatically group all notepad windows'. But, how can I automatically group windows from different applications. For example, when I open notepad, word, and excel, I want Groupy to group them automatically. How can it be done.

Thanks.

Check this option in settings and then hold the control key down when opening new apps.

Hello,
I don't think there is such a setting for that. But, when enabled, you can press ctrl while launching application to group into active application.

Thanks

Thanks and yes, I am aware of this setting but this works only if I am manually opening the apps. What I am looking for is when the apps are started automatically upon Windows login then they should be grouped. I have 3 apps that start automatically when I log in to Windows and I want to group those apps automatically.

You can open up this 3 application and group it. Save the group. And open up that save group upon Start up. Need some command in a batch file and put it in your Startup folder.

I am also hoping for the same feature. Or a new group setting that allows it to be launched on startup. Has there been any updates on this?

Have you tried all the suggestion above?

Groupy 2 has grouping rules which can be used to make specific applications group together always.
