Works on Linux

...With some minor imperfections.

For anyone who plays on Linux and is wondering if the game runs, the answer is yes.  At least for me, on the current version.

You'll need to launch via Lutris or Bottles, and I am using Proton-GE.  Heroic doesn't work as the game relies on Epic online services.

When first starting, you'll be presented with a window saying 'press any key to continue' but it won't go forward.  There is actually a dialog that is not rendering which is holding you back.  It's in the horizontal centre of the screen, and about a third down.  You'll see your cursor change to a hand when you're hovering over the right place -- click and you're in!

Enjoy.

I can also confirm the game runs on my linux machine. I was able to use the Heroic launcher fine, setting the wine version to Proton 7.0 and enabling Esync. The first loading screen was black for a while but once inside the game it plays fine. Can't speak much regarding performance, I haven't played very long and my rig is on the lower end of specs but I didn't notice any frame drops after playing for an hour.

Specs:
Linux Mint 21 kernel 5.15.0-52

Nvidia GTX 960 - nvidia-driver-515

Heroic version 2.4.3
