Unable to change in-game username (SOLVED)

So I just tried out the new Sins II gameplay and I noticed that my in-game username was my real first name with an underscore after it, no caps. For now I'll just show it as "myrealname_". This wouldn't be a problem at all except I'm trying to record my gameplay and upload it but I don't want to dox myself.

I searched all over the place but couldn't find any settings in the game to change my in-game username. It's really weird because my Epic Games username is Visual 39, so I don't see why Sins II would find/use my first name. It should use my regular username. 

Is this just me or is anyone experiencing this? Any help on how I could change it?

Known issue - it's something you'll be able to do in the future.

For now, you can manually change it in \Documents\sins2_pre_alpha\settings\settings.json

Change the value on row 307 (at the very bottom) to the name you want.

Just bought and installed the game, and I used this trick to change my player name, too.
