Can't run the game

Can't run the game

Entry Point Not Found error

Running the game from the Epic Store launcher doesn't work, and when I manually run the sins2.exe I get a popup saying "procedure entry point for GetDpiForWindow could not be located in the dynamic link library USER32.dll".

What does this mean and how do I fix it?

Quoting DerekPaxton,

lefrancgregory are you playing on the Public or Test branch?

I tried both, with identical results.

Thank you. We are working on a fix, expect it tomorrow or Wednesday at the latest (it will be on the Test branch).

Same here. Can't get past the "press any key to start".

It seems the game is not in focus, like suggested before.

I am running on Win 10, fully updated.

I've tried a few things: mainly closing apps that use overlays like afterburner, rivatuner, steam...

It looks like after closing rivatuner I could get past the first screen. After that, epic showed a new pop-up...I believe it was to sync accounts, and to introduce me their own overlay (shift + f3?)  After that, I was good to go.

My guess the epic overlay is causing this issue.

Well, let's play.

Tried your method and disabled RivaTuner and every other app that I could think of that produces an overlay.

I confirm that I can now get past the splash screen after having answered the few questions from the Epic overlay. Even after restarting the computer, which reloads the overlay apps.

Yes!!! It is fine now. Even after restarting windows and the game. And I don't need to close rive/afterburner anymore.

Glad it helped.

Hello, I can't start the game. It always hangs up at the start screen.

I have the following system:

- i7 12700K

- RTX 3080

- 32GB DDR4

- Win 11

When I start the Test Edition, I also get the same result.

Drat, I will let the team know. Thank you. Feel free to DM me on discord (I'm Derek#7342) and we can discuss and see if there is something specific to your computer that might be causing this. I'd love to get this fixed, obviously if you are running into to it, others will too.
