I know it’s probably a bit early to have a definitive answer, but any idea what the minimum hardware and software requirements will be to run the game at a reasonable frame rate?

Don't know honestly, but every processor since 2011 supports it, so should be fine with the min spec.

So that's a complete no for Linux gamers, or anyone not on the newest Windows OS, eh?

Kinda sucks, was really looking forward to the sequel.

Windows 10/11 64-bit only. No plans for Linux and definitely no on earlier Windows versions. That said, it's entirely possible it'll eventually work on Proton, but that's a long ways off.
