Alienware laptops... Help me get one!

Maybe some of you have seen the Alienware icon I made for OD, and can tell I'm drooling over the Area 51-m Extreme. I need to raise a total of $3,808 to get the one I want with all the upgrades. I am 16 and am looking for ways to make money... I was thinkin setting up internet/ wireless internet for people and businesses, building some cuztom pc's for people (maybe not sure) and buy/ resell on Ebay. Other than that I am pretty much fresh out of ideas... I want this pc so bad, anyone have some ideas on how I can get one? I am pretty computer literete so I pick up programs quickly, but unfortunately I am limited in my knowledge of code...

what's the windshield for? why get all the ad-ons when IBM give you quality?

Off topic interesting fact.  Did you know that the Ski Doo's original name was "Ski Dog". Except that a typo in the promotional material wrote a O instead of a G.

Yes....one's a competent CPU and the other is Kona's wet-dream....


You may be right but lets not forget who wasted tons of dollars on a CPU when he could have bought a whole new system for the same price...
BTW your P4 3.2 Ghz... compensating for something in size are we?

Kona....no...it's a P4 3.0C, 800fsb.....a clever choice as it isn't the 'top of the line' and therefore 'premium' priced CPU but at the same time it isn't restricted by a bottle-neck North Bridge [but then details bore you] [or should I say 'details confound you']....

The Bombardier EMBRIO Advanced Concept is a one-wheeled recreational and commuting vehicle that promises a whole new experience on the road. Aimed at the 18 to 45 age group, this advanced concept prefigures the kind of user-friendly, minimalist vehicles we might be seeing - and using - on our urban, suburban and country roads in the year 2025.

The Design
This project was conceived as an exercise in forward thinking: what will the future of recreational transportation be like? Bombardier Recreational Products designers were asked to come up with a prospective concept for a recreational vehicle that would meet the needs of people in the year 2025.

The Bombardier EMBRIO concept is one of several concepts that were proposed by different internal design teams of Bombardier Recreational Products which had to respect the design philosophy "to create highly innovative, functional and exciting products to exceed people's recreational needs", and answer the following challenge: what would be the "next thing" in recreational vehicles?

The resulting concept is a minimalist, pure and simplified design that uses clean lines and on which the human print is obvious, yet fully blended in the overall styling theme. Both beautiful and functional, the Bombardier EMBRIO is exciting to look at, and should be even more exciting to ride.

Technology
The EMBRIO concept is a recreational and commuting vehicle that uses gyroscopic and electronic technology. It is a means of transportation, as well as a way of enjoying transportation as a positive activity. The main power source is a hydrogen fuel cell. In stand-by configuration, the vehicle's front wheels deploy to the ground like a jet plane landing gear to increase longitudinal stability. Thus stabilized, the Bombardier EMBRIO looks perfectly at home in the urban landscape, displaying the beauty of its sculptural lines until it's time to go for a ride.

A Rider-Friendly Vehicle
Riding the Bombardier EMBRIO concept in the real world would be a thrill. With a riding position similar to a motorcycle, the EMBRIO uses a complex series of sensors and gyroscopes to balance one or more human passengers on a single wheel. Technology will be used to harness the laws of physics, with the gyroscopes and sensors, a high-performance braking system, active suspension, night vision and robotic assistance. A digitally encoded learning key will start the engine. To move forward, the rider activates a trigger on the left handlebar. The landing gear retracts when the speed reaches 20 km/h. To turn, the rider leans in the desired direction. The brake is activated by a trigger on the right handlebar. When the speed drops to 20 km/h again, the landing gear redeploys automatically. Even without the landing gear, the EMBRIO would be stable when motionless because of the gyroscope.

An Ecologically Responsible Approach
The use of fuel cell technology and recycling of aluminum and polyethylene makes the Bombardier EMBRIO an eco-friendly design throughout its life cycle.

one thing about that bike...
How is the thing supposed to stear? I see 1 rear wheel and 2 front wheels witch are off the ground (probably ment for parking or something....

the landing gear looks a bit ugly too, I think it would look much cooler without, it stables itself so why bother?

Styl: It would only stabalize itself when it is turned on, and forward inertia helps stablize stuff, like riding a bike. Under 12mph it drops the wheel since the forward inertia isn't there.

yeah ok, but they say it stabalizes itself even if it stands still, ok I understand it dasnt do that when it is turned of but when you turn it off, just put it in some sort of standard. I think it makes it look ugly

Styl, lets talk about something more important then the wheel of which this thing moves on; lets talk about the windshield.

What it the windshield for? To block the air around your waist?

I have narrowed it down to a Dell laptop or an IBM... maybe a Toshiba. That is still in the running.

No Alienware. I like their desktops though.

The hub dia. could change, shrinking on the side in the direction for the turn along with a slight lean, or braking on the hub on one side or a combination of them all...

be a real treat to have the hub lock up though SPLAT!

You could design the tire to be thicker on the tread, softer on the side wall (normal tire config so far) and it could have a gel core for shock absorption and to keep tire true after repeated stress applied to driving conditions, turning, stopping...

With ABS controlling stopping would be easy to work out, though lots of money would be put into gyroscopic controlled positioning, with a chip gyro of course, redundant I'd also bet...
