Known issues

While we appreciate all feedback, please remember that we offer no official support for beta \ preview \ developer channel versions of Windows. If you report issues while in any of those early release channels, you should not expect them to be addressed unless it still exists in a retail version of Windows.

  • Initially hovering over the taskbar search may have the preview thumbnail render offset.  Subsequent hovers will render it in the correct location:

Windowblinds 11 still overrides start 11 settings. Blurring the background even though blaring is shut off and start 11 the adjust transparency is grayed out and cannot be changed and it is adding a texture background that cannot be removed.

So left side context menu still fails on secondary monitors but does now work on the primary monitor.

Just so we can be sure about what you are reporting, can you post a screenshot please and also what build number of Windows?

It is normal that WB would override start11 as that's the point of applying a skin.  All those settings will be controlled by the WB skin.

That's something really difficult to accept from Microsoft: 8C

Align top is not compatible with autohide taskbars when on Windows 11 22H2 and later.

Stardock please fix it!!  :D

Also noticed that peek previews on secondary monitors always show to the left but work fine on primary monitor.

Thanks for the new version.

Notice a small bug. The Weather widget in the taskbar, when the ícones are center aligned, stays in the center and not in the "left" side of the taskbar - like the normal windows 11 behaviour.

The latest update to Win 11 installed and the taskbar went back down to the bottom when it started up.

Start 11 says it should be at the top.  Restarted explorer junk rebooted doing both several times and it is still at the bottom while Start 11 says top.

It says it is Win 11 version 22H2 and it was successively installed.

To switch the user through Start11, you need to perform 5 steps. Start -> Users -> Switch User -> Select User -> Log in.

Through the standard Start 4 actions Start -> Users -> Select user -> Log in.

Is it possible to do 4 or less actions?

If you look under the options to reposition the taskbar it states in red text that taskbars can only be at the bottom if you have autohide enabled on 22H2.

Would you have autohide enabled?

This is not a bug.  It is simply a side effect of how things have to work when using the enhanced taskbar.

Just wanted to give positive feedback, I have used Start menus for several years including the latest Start 11 Ver 1.28 with the latest Win 22H2 update, and as always I have not had any issues.  I don't use anything fancy or exotic on my PC, just a regular PC user and have been content with the way the software works.  Hats off to the developers.

Bug: When I drag the win10-style start menu to the lowest height, and I close the start menu, at that time, the start menu will become a little taller, and needs to be dragged to the lowest height again.

Translation Bug: Win10-style start menu->user->lock the PC option, in Chinese Traditional, it should be"鎖定" not "鎖上", although"鎖上" is ok, but "鎖定" is more formal.

Translation Bug: in the configure window, all the switcher (button to on/off function)'s "OFF" Translation in Chinese Traditional is wrong be translated to"離開", it should be"關閉".

Translation Bug: Some string in configure window, "restart Explorer" option be translated to"重新啟動 Explorer", it should be"重新啟動檔案總管".

Enhancement: Make live tiles for win10 style start menu, users can see the current weather or time in the tile, and click on it can bring me to the MS weather app or clock app. Just like real win10 start menu I can saw that information when I pin those app on start menu.

Enhancement: right click on the start menu will show a configure menu, if the menu can be semi-transparent, and with acrylic effect or mica effect will be great!

I like this software, hope you keep it up, thanks!
