Grand Campaign Option?

Would be awesome if there was a way to play an overarching campaign that spans multiple sectors similar to the original Star Wars Battlefront II. Each sector a match and a campaign could span hundreds of hours. The idea that each match builds on the last in a grand campaign just seems like a lot of fun.

IDK thoughts? I do this now with pen and paper lol.

This sounds like one of the reasons why the game would benefit from having a campaign editor, allowing modders to produce stuff like that.
