How to stop blinking

When applying a dream made in dreammaker pro to my desktop, it blinks about every 5 seconds, is there any way to stop this?

If you're exporting the dream with the default 25 frames per second setting, try using 30 frames per second instead.

On the image above I would move the slider bar to Max Quality.

Also try in task manage restarting Windows Explorer when or if blinking starts again.

You know, I did play with that, and I honestly didn't see much of a difference other than almost doubling the file size.  Maybe I wasn't looking at the right thing - where do you see the improvement/value? (Sharpness, color, smoothness....)?  I really am kind of curious.

Thanks, I tried that and even upped it to 60fps, still has that little blink

Do other dreams play OK without the blink ?

Like some of my dreams ?

Do all of your dreams made with Pro blink or just a few of them ?

Load one of your dreams that blink on cloud storage

like google drive and and post a link to it so I can test it and see if it blinks on my system.

One made with dream maker pro

@DaveRI

I've made appx. 4500 dreams that play fine on my system but other people might have better systems higher res.larger screen now 4k etc.

So it's best to make in the highest res. And highest bit rate you can but stay under file size limits.

When making for others to download.

If just making for your own use then whatever your happy with is fine.

@AzDude, thanks for the help, file is a little large, once I figure out how to make them decently, will work on the size.  Yours work fine on my laptop, I am running a brand new Alienware M15 R& with windows 11 if that matters.  Below is the link for the deskscape I made

OK a couple things ...

1st. you need to work on looping for a cleaner seamless loop. and more adjustments to the

animation to run smoother a little to jumpy .

2nd as you can see from my video below your dream playback on my PC has no Blinking .

Video Link https://drive.google.com/file/d/1oHQocBbSqtH6J01RjTbrB_yZ7BgpO4Yy/view?usp=sharing

so the problem lays with your PC might be codec or video graphic issue but first

Hello ,

Would you Please do a Clean Boot: https://forums.stardock.com/485954/deskscapes-support-faq#cleanboot

and see if there's blink with a clean boot .

Other options to try is codecs I use K-lite Codec Mega Pk https://codecguide.com/download_k-lite_codec_pack_mega.htm

default install all parts.

2 - Try updating your video graphics cards ...

Thanks, all cards are updated, did that on receipt of computer, will have to figure out the looping as it is a static picture and I just used the water brush to do the water, will try your other suggestions and thanks.  I am wondering if it is because of windows 11

Im running Windows 11 with no issues

My PC running 11 with your dream no blinking.

If you still have an issue after trying my fixes , then make a video capture

of your dream blinking and post back here for me to see .

As far as your animation of that dream you just need more practice with the

different animations ( and the adjustments you can make to each animation )

to get a cleaner smoother look and use best quality always and bitrate .

Don't worry about larger file sizes .

also I would add some of the water bubbles to make it look more water-like.

and too when having a loop issue try making your video longer so it takes

longer for the loop to show up that will help hide it a bit .

So make sure you practice with dream maker pro but if all fails to your liking

then give me your files and saved Dream Maker Pro file and I'll make the Dream for you ...

The work "blinks" threw me off.  I believe I'm seeing a mismatched brush speed and dream duration.

I use any of these wave brush speed settings with a dream duration of 5.26:

15  30  45  60  etc

I use any of these wave brush speed settings with a dream duration of 7.90:

10  20  30  40  50  etc

That should help a lot.

Looks like the Water brush would use these brush speed settings with a dream duration of 5.26:

30  60  90

Looks like the Water brush would use these brush speed settings with a dream duration of 7.90:

20 40 60 80

thanks, I did the scene for 30 seconds, and adjusted the loop transition from 0 to 2 sec.  I think the jump was from the transition set at 0

Yes your right always set the transition to 1, 2 or 3 depending on the type of animation never at 0 .

a little practice will help with that .
