System Tray Flickering

Extended (resized) taskbar causing system tray to flicker intermittently.

Running Win11 Home, 10.0.22000, Start11 1.24, trialing, so far this is my preferred taskbar/start menu customization software. On my laptop screen I need 2 rows on taskbar, so I've enabled the option and resized my taskbar to fit 2 rows. In this state, the system tray begins to flicker intermittently, and when I hover over a specific program icon (ThrottleStop) the flickering frequency increases greatly. This flickering does not occur if the taskbar is normal width.

Cheers

Hello,

Would you do this PURGE: https://forums.stardock.com/505872/start11-support-faq#reinstalling

Reboot and ReInstall the v1.24 Reboot , Test and report back.

If that fails try again but try the latest version v1.25 beat that should fix it .

Go to your product page for the latest version https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products/

click on " View Individual Downloads " .

Thanks for the suggestions and help,

On 1.24 after a purge and reboot, the issue persisted, so I downloaded 1.25 beta, purged again with a reboot, and now on a fresh 1.25 install the flickering issue is unfortunately still present.

What do you suggest next?

Cheers

Thanks for forwarding it on, if I put the throttlestop icon in the popup instead of directly in the tray, then it does not flicker when I hover it, and overall the flickering is reduced. The popup from the throttlestop icon gets constantly updated with monitoring stats, so I wonder if the updating is causing the flickering...

Let's leave it and see what the support team say,

Cheers again
