There is no visual that the drones are actually there. I also switched player and attacked one of my own colonies (with the upgrade) to check and there were no drones to defend. Can anyone confirm this ?
How can you tell ? Is there any visual confirmation with that like the little green fleet icon ?
I double-checked without any mods and repaired the client just to be on the safe side, nothing.
The visual confirmation is the green-white shield in the corner of the planet label and they may or may not show up in the fleet roster, I've had them show up before, but didn't seem to this time.
I haven't tested the colony upgrade, though isn't that a building on core worlds and not an upgrade?
