I bought this for running on Windows 11 and most don't work and are buggy. I have uninstalled it for now

Where are updates found. 1 year updates is not enough for fixing all the windows 11 problems.

Hello.

I purchased Object Desktop for my new Windows 11 pro system but from my own experience and in reading through this forum, it is not ready for prime time. I decided to wait until you have all the bugs worked out.  However, although normally 1 year maintenance that comes with the program until upgrading would be enough, I feel that after this year expires, the program will probably start to hit its stride. Because of this I think it is unfair to ask purchasers to renew after just 1 year when you put a product out there that clearly is not ready for Windows 11.  I think the time should be extended without having to pay again - discounted or otherwise. Please pass this on and let me know.  You should support your customers better in this regard.

Also how do I download updates?  I see the page, https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products/, but that just seems to list the same versions I originally downloaded. If I click on a download link from an individual product, it just brings me to the purchase page.

Thanks in advance.

I'm not having issues. Your company is. By your own company's admission scattered throughout the website, for example https://forums.stardock.com/505717/stardock-app-compatibility updated in February, the forum, certain product faqs and product webpages, etc.  you state that certain products do not work with Windows 11 as of yet or may have compatibility issues or a new product is in development for windows 11 that will replace existing product in Object Desktop. Those are the issues.  And I state that given those company problems, a one year maintenance is not long enough for your customers that are relying on Windows 11 compatibility. By the time the bugs are worked out it will probably be time to renew again.  Not good customer service in my opinion.

Please look into this and the courtesy of a response directly addressing this would be appreciative. Pass it up to your Manager please.

You are referring to the link at the top  - not the link in your last message. OK. But I have been there and included it in my initial message. So if that is where updates would appear, fine.  But you are 'still' not addressing the root problem I indicated - IF by your site's own admission that many of the products included in Object Desktop are having compatibility issues or just don't plain work at all with Windows 11, then.... I would like to see your company take the initiative for good customer service and extend the normal 1 year maintenance to allow for developing 100% working versions - which is after all what I and others paid for. The 1 year policy under these circumstances I feel is not enough time. It will probably take that long to sort out the problems and create new products that will replace those that cannot be solved otherwise. It would be the same as paying for the software now for non-working versions and then again later when the 1 year is up. All of that time, not having the working products that were contractually promised. Now it may take a lot less than a year - if that is true, then fine. Customers would then upgrade as per the normal 1 year expiration, BUT if it is not true then at the end of the term your company should say - we were not ready and you paid for working products so here is another 6 months or whatever.

These are only suggestions mind you but in the name of fairness and good customer service I believe that you should consider this. Please, once again, pass this on to your Manager for a response.

Thank you.

trm3,

We understand some frustration with app compatibility, we actually share it but likely for different reasons.

Windows 11 has a host of issues, not the least of which is the ever-changing UI and under-the-covers elements that make true compatibility a constant moving target.

That said, most of the core OD products work as intended if not with a few minor issues.  What is next on deck is WindowBlinds and we should have something in the very near future for OD clients to get their hands on.

What would be more helpful in your case is if you had an app that you were having issues with, let us know what exactly that is and we will work with you to resolve it.

As always, thanks for your patience and patronage.
