No access to mods

Do you have Enable Mods turned on in the game Options?

Did you try verifying files from the Epic launch screen dropdown for the test version (1.02)?  There is also an uninstall button below that which should let you totally reset your game files.  Other than that I think you'll need to wait for a Dev to notice this post. 

Publius - I checked that in my setup and that Option doesn't shut down the Mod button on the main screen (I turned it off & reloaded).  I think it just allows the game to use Mods you've downloaded.

I'm out of ideas then.

Are you launching it through Steam as an added game (or any other method not directly through Epic)?

Not saying that might not be an issue, but Frogboy & Derek did say that mod access would work across all platforms since it was imbedded into the game and therefore not dependant on the Epic laucher.

In the 1.03 update thread, https://forums.galciv4.com/511962/galactic-civilizations-iv-103 , someone with the same issue was launching from desktop instead of Epic & when they launched game from Epic the Mod button worked.  

I tried launching from desktop and the Mod button is a no go for me also.  I went onto Steam, added the game, and launched from the Steam app and the Mod button doesn't work there either.  Sounds like you're in for another round of complaints from the die hard Steam users. 

I am launching the game from epic and have tried validate files and reinstalling the game. The mod button is still greyed out. Mod support is enabled in the settings.

Is multiplayer also grayed out?

Can you post a screen cap of your entire main screen?

This is how it looks in my start screen.

Might be a fierwall issue or otherwise something preventing tachyon, our online services, from syncing.

and you are running it directly in the Epic launcher or a shortcut created by the Epic Launcher?

Usually from what I have seen, when mods, meta, and multi are all grayed out, the game is not being launched properly

I launch it from the epic launcher and have tried on desktop too. It is the same problem. Also tried deactivating firewall but that does not help either.

Hmmm.... it doesnt think you are logged into Tachyon so it's disabling the workshop, metaverse and multiplayer.

Epic can be deceiving on whether you are actually signed in.  Run the Epic store and then launch the game from there.  Let us know if that fixes it -- it did for me when this happened for me as well. 

When you say launch from the epic store do you mean the quick launch on the left side of the screen? I have tried that but it is the same.

That dosent work either unfortunately.

Will this get fixed in the official 1.03 release?

I have tried using the Heroic launcher too but that dosent work either. So it dont seem to be the wpic launcher that is the problem.

I have tried to contact you on discord but with no answer. I can accept no mod support on the test version, but not in the main release. If it cant be fixed please just say it so I can request a refund.
