HELP ! MPCORE.DLL (?) stealing icons from trash

There is a component of Object Desktop that displays nice splash screen at startup of Windows and hides original Windows desktop untill DesktopX starts...Unfortunatelly, for me at least, the side effect is that majority of system tray icons are not shown, so I cannot access some of programs I placed there (MSM messenger, for example). I had this problem with beta of MPCORE.DLL (I think this is the name of component) so I uninstalled it and everything worked fine. Now, recently I ran Stardock Central and it get re-installed automatically. The problem appeared again, but this time there is no option to uninstal this crap. Any idea:
- how to remove it
- or how to get all icons back?
BTW, I can get icons displayed again if I kill explorer and restart it again, so applications are working properly.
Any help welcome!

Did you restart your comp? It happened to me this morning and a reset fixed all my smurfs.

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ShellServiceObjectDelayLoad
containing the entry: 0aMCPClient REG_SZ ....

Backup the entry and then delete the value if you don't want it to load. If it causes other problems or doesn't work restore your backup .reg file by double clicking on it.

I tried this, but didn't helped... I found another solution however... I unchecked 'load at startup' option in DX configuration and placed shortcut to DX in Start/Startup menu. Now there is no cute startup logo but at least I do have all my icons back in system tray
