Show Additional Information on the Desktop

I have read of a way to have DeskScapes show additional information on the desktop. I think that I saw something about that during the initial setup but chose to have it not be shown. What does that show (system uptime, filenames of current backgrounds, and things of the sort) (?)? Can I have it shown without uninstalling and reinstalling DeskScapes?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Deskscape info panel is available under your playlist tab. You do not need to uninstall/reinstall your deskscape for it.

Thanks

That might be what I was thinking of. I did not remember it being in the playlist tab of the main window. Thank you, Basj.

I found that the information panel is present even for applying any background (rather than playlists only). Oddly, though, even after turning it on, I do not see the information on the background. Perhaps DeskScapes needs to be restarted (?). Although, that seems odd.

I know that this is an old thread. But, I figured that I would inform people that the issue of additional information not appearing on desktop backgrounds has been resolved. I found that the issue was caused not by DeskScapes, but by a separate application, namely Actual Window Manager. Something that I did read about, however (but was unable to find the thread for), and I have been noticing, is that the background reverts when changing desktops or opening Task View on Windows 11.

DeskScapes shows 4 “currently applied backgrounds” even with only 3 displays connected. That is odd. But, that itself isn’t the issue at hand. The issue at hand is that, when switching virtual desktops or opening the task view, the fourth background is applied and DeskScapes’ screen changes from having the shown backgrounds applied to showing “No applied backgrounds were found.” As I mentioned prior, I know that I saw a thread about this somewhere. But, I don’t remember where and was unable to find it.
