Stardock has released The Keyboard LaunchPad, an extremely useful little progrma that lets you assign hot keys to virtually any action you might take on your system. It''s part of Object Desktop and available stand alone as well.
For instance, if you visit many websites you could set each one to a hot key. For instance, you could set Ctrl-Alt-W to take you to WinCustomize.com. It also will launch programs, control specific programs, and even save clipboards to a hot key (for example, users with lots of signatures for use on different sites could have short cuts set to Ctrl-Alt-1, 2, 3, etc.). It''s also useful for saving passwords to a hotkey.
Stardock uses it in technical support for canned replies. All you have to do is copy something into the clipboard and then assign it a hot key.
It can also have plugins made for it. With a plugin, The Keyboard Launchpad can take control of a specific program. For instance, it includes a way to control MP3 players.
The Keyboard LaunchPad is part of Object Desktop (www.objectdesktop.com). But you can also get it stand alone for $9.95. Download the free version at
