As we have said in other topics dealing with Win 11 Hardware requirements ie.. The TPM, Secure Boot, Ram etc..

These requirements were BS to a lot of us, and seeing as we are now closer to the next Big Feature update 22H2, some of you who consider your own PC to still be well capable of running Win 11, but MS tell you NO. If you get yourself Rufus 3.16 and grab a Windows 11 from MS, or wherever you trust to provide your OS download, load it up in the normal way with a ISO and destination USB  Pen Drive, click Image Options and select from the dropdown list

"Extended Windows 11 Installation (No TPM, NO Secure Boot/8GB Ram)

Rufus will patch the USB Media Installation allowing you to Install Windows 11 and see if your Rig really is up to Win 11 specs, without jumping through MS Hoops. (I think more of you who can run Win 10 easily, will have no issues with Win 11)

Take the usual precautions you would do with any OS Installation, ie Back Up . This should make Windows 11 available to all who think there set up SHOULD be compatible, i know Rufus 3.18 is released, just have not checked it yet.

As i have said  numerous times, MS pushes things on users, and others Push back negating what they try. MS may wish to push sales of newer Hardware on users with all there stupid requirements, now at least our General users here, who may not have ever thought about trying Win 11, can actually do it Now with this work around. So many users including me who thought "My Set Up Is Still Relevant, Fast and useful.

Whatever MS try to push on us, including the latest "Must Have A MS Account To Install Windows 11 Crap", will be worked around just like everything else that was not popular, It All Starting with No Start Menu in Windows 8, bringing us right up to date, I know these things do Rattle some of our forum members, Me though, knows there is no need to worry as a fix will be just around the corner.

Windows 8 is a great case and point.

For me, using Windows 8 with Start 8 was much better then using Windows 7. It was a simple fix that definitely turned Windows 8 into the superior option.

However, a simple fix or not, most people did not upgrade. Windows 8 adoption rate was even lower then Windows Vista. Steve Balmer got fired and Bill Gates had begun to get pushed out of his own company. 

This goes to show you that people who know how to fix their PC are pretty low percentage wise compared to the whole.

I have taken the plunge and gone Windows 11 22H2 on one of my 4 SSDs after first Running it on an old Laptop to check for any obvious issues. Managed to source an ISO of 22H2 Enterprise.

Installed it using the Rufus Method of Extended Windows Installation hence no need for TPM, Secure Boot or all the other MS "You Must Haves". I am also starting to see resourceful peeps have started to add "No MS Account Needed" into the same method used for the HW Requirements on Rufus and other methods as i always said would happen. I did not have this updated Rufus when i did the install, so i had to go another way. MS offers two methods, either use a MS account to complete install as a Home user, (something none of us wants to do). I chose the School or organisation method as this still lets you "Join a Domain" so no signing in to a MS account, which gives you a Local Account with Full Admin  Privs.

MS had released an update yesterday, at first had an issue with it, but as in all things Computer, i sorted it, this gives you the new and latest Win 11 Build 22621.105.

Still putting it through it's paces trying to make sure there are no issues, nothing really of any import to say. The update did stop my Theme from working, but it was StartAllBack that needed updating as older editions are not compatible with 22H2, but the StartAllBack makers are well ahead on this and have released updates several times since Win 11 was released, matching any changes in the OS. Also Malwarebytes Anti Spy also needs to be updated too, same reason.

So all in all no worries, just as i said, Any worrying articles that have been posted about HW Requirements and the need to use a MS account, have just like i said, been solved.

I always said every unpopular change made by MS will be brought back to realms of us mere mortals, that is not going to change any time soon. Seeing more and more Privacy Tools being released to help users make there Win 11 more Data secure in there favour and not MS. The resources available to us all these days on the net, no reason , not to have a more secure OS.

Github, Reddit, Forums etc...   all have brilliant ways to move forward, i like to wear many Hats mate and when possible , to share that info with other like minded peeps. Both my Win 11 SSDs have now gone 22H2, i had to change the Command Ribbon on my everyday Machine(or SSD) as i did find a little bug, but once that was done all is well, used them for full shifts in work, here and my own forum, doing all the usual things in my day, glad to say everything is working without issue. My Themes are working OK, so a good few days. I did think starting this path, I hope it does not mess up my Multi Booting System, it didn't, the only thing that did change was the Volume Number of the SSD i did first. Due to my Mild Vascular Parkinsonism Dementia, i have to have the Drive Volume Numbers listed on a piece of paper stuck to my Monitor so at a glance i can tell one from the other, obviously one is set as Default to always Start, but the other 3 never really stick in the mind, but bhey Ho, we all have our ways of doing things. 

No Doc, only so i can see at a glance. If say i want to boot into one of my Win 10 SSDs, i have a window that comes up at the start showing all Windows OSs i have the option to Boot too. The default SSD, (My everyday Win 11) starts automatically after 4 seconds, if i want one of the others, i have to just move the mouse and the screen holds until i click the OS i want to Boot into. Just used the BCDBOOT Command to set it up.

I would never rely on passwords on paper, oh no no.

My Condition was diagnosed very early, so i am at the very first stage, I have to take a test each year to prove i can still drive etc.. I am under NO illusions, this is going to Kill me as in the future my body will forget more than just memories, like swallowing food. Far Too Much Head Trauma in Africa and Yugoslavia maybe, but forgetting some of the Terrible things i have seen in War Zones will be welcome, one of my biggest possible fears would be blurting out some of those things in civilised company. What Soldiers need to do in these places, does not mix well, even though we all know what happens in War and understand what the Military has do to keep us all safe, people who have never lived in that kind of world, seldom understand, and they may look at you with strange eyes.

I have been told, with all the changes i have already made, i may be able to hold it off for several years yet, once it is fully blown, i will have around 7 years, then goodbye Naroon, (not soon enough some will say). When i enter that period, i will close down all my Online accounts, Pass my Forum over to my Team, get a more comfy LazyBoy and a man size Bib.

I know what you mean about the looks you might get from people who never served...at least here in Israel, it's rather different, and service is mostly a matter of pride. You'd never get that look from me. "Thank you for your service" is what you'd hear, and feel.
