Widgets and ObjectDocks

Not able to get weather dock to work

Hi, 

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, but wasn't sure exactly where or how to post this question.  I've been looking and working to get this resolved for hours and days and weeks, and to no avail.  I had an account in 2013, and I've recently re-downloaded and re-subscribed to objectdock and wincustomize.  I've got all the programs installed, but I can't get my weather dock to work.  When I look at my account page from 2013 I'm not seeing the DestopX program to re-download, and yet I must had had it, because I've got widgets.  Can someone help me to either get my weather objectdock to work, or help me with widgets?  I'm running Windows 10, and I believe that my drivers are up to date, but... not entirely sure if there is something I may be missing.

Neither Object Dock nor DesktopX is supported on Win10.  You may or may not have luck running either program.

I'm pretty sure that the Object Dock weather won't work anymore, I believe the information feed for it was cut off years ago.  The same is true for a lot of DesktopX weather widgets and gadgets, but I think there are some in the gallery that will work all though I have completely lost track of which those might be.  Also, widgets require that DesktopX be installed for them to run, gadgets do not require that DesktopX be installed, that can be a source of confusion.

If you kept a backup copy of your DesktopX .exe file you think you may have had, you should be able to install and activate it from that.  As for the download availability of it at this point, especially after a subscription lapse, I'm afraid I have  no idea.

Sorry I can't be of more help, but at least now you have a better idea of the situation.
