It's a bit telling i didn't notice until now, but where is the minimap? is it because the whole map is the minimap now? You know what would be simply _amazing_? to have tags you can add to the map that form a little list of nav points so if you're doing a campaign in some area you could tag it up "remember to murder all Drengin here" "don't believe their lies!" etc.
Is there really much point of a minimap though? I agree with the markers idea though and we are adding ways of doing that.
I was actually terrified at the thought of not having a minimap way way back when we removed it. But I was shocked at how little I missed it.
GC4 scale is so large that the minimap is useless (as weird as that sounds). It's also so easy to change zoom that you can check those things when you want. Traditionally minimap's were created when zooming in and out was either impossible or difficult.
So yes you are right, the "minimap" has been replaced by multiple zoom levels.
I agree. It works for Civ but in both Humankind and here, I am so used to zooming and panning that I don't really miss it.
