WIN 11 Problem Opening zip files

I have Win 11 on my desktop

I click a zip file stored to  my desktop . It opens the 15 secs later closes and the screen goes black

and comes right back to desktop! Won't stay open long enough to drag a jpg.  image out of it.

ANYONE ELSE with this problem? I won't upgrade my main art PC till I know .

It means he has Windows 11 installed on his desktop PC, as opposed to a laptop.

Ditto.

I'm guessing that a video screen capture of a crash (black screen )  would be difficult.

I have 11 on my laptop. Will try right click open but why is it different on my laptop??

Never had to use right click to open before.

I will see if it makes a difference when I get home

I'm on my Desktop at the moment (win 10)

use latest  7zip free software right click on .zip and extract the files for use
I use both 7zip and winrar, but the built in should work.

Not real sure of what you mean here.  What I said doesn't require anyone to be a computer freak.
