How To Handle Space Bugs

So you want to help us deal with space bugs huh? Well, there are plenty of them. Here we will give you some pointers on how to best help us.

  • You can also create your own unique threads and link them here. But include at least the basic details here!
  • Ensure the issue/feedback you are talking about is relevant to the VERSION NUMBER listed (See below for how)
  • Make sure all of your drivers are updated and verify the game files after every update before reporting an issue. This can often be the culprit.
  • If there is a bug that keeps repeating:
    • Include all steps you make to reproduce it.
    • Include any save games including auto saves.
    • Also please include debug.err files and pref.ini files as they can help with reproducing map generation or graphical errors.
    • When the crash dialogue appears ensure you put in an e-mail for our devs to follow up

Confirmed that Commander and other combat ships still cannot upgrade like survey ships do in this version.  Really hope this is a fix that is being worked on for a future update.

Played for a couple of hours last night (up to turn 138) & no crashes so far.  Game seems to load quicker also.

Approval relic icon color needs to be changed from "Magenta" to something brighter.  Very difficult to see - Relics should pop out at you.

Addendum - Research relic icon is also a dark color (purple I think) and blends into the background when zoomed out a little.

This has been around for a couple of versions so I'm sure it's been mentioned, but it really annoying.  Hexes that have been terraformed used to change from the yellow + to just showing what the land has been upgraded to.  Now we get a glaring green + and we have to hover over it to see actual land.

I think this was done to show remind you what tile you had terraformed.  I don't think it is very useful here.  It would be very useful if shown after U use that Chimera Biomass (I think) that gives you a couple of tiles. If it does give you the tiles.

IMHO, the reminder shouldn't hide the true identity.  It should work the other way around.  Highlighting a hex should show you it was terraformed.

Playing as Terrans - Why is Governor of Earth, DL Bradley, the only leader whose loyalty cannot be raised above 100?  I can gift him Harmony Crystals and the =10 bonus shows up in his stats, but his loyalty is frozen at 100.

started a few diff games, every one had closest player supposed to be distant, but every game had 1-2 civ start right next to me.

I've been playing a bit with 77b and the glaring difference for me is the missing tech navigator.  It was in 77a but now it is gone.  GIVE IT BACK!!! please.

I had a game stall when receiving the message that the Drengin had been destroyed by the Xeloxi. When the Xeloxi turn came up, the game hung and I couldn't do anything to get it moving again.

This is intended for combat ships, for now, not sure about command. I brought it up.
