Even more crashes v .77A

from GalCiv4 Forums

So, played again and again and it still crashes, quite un-ceremonially - just poof - return to desktop. This time I got 35 minutes. Playing all normal settings with universe set at large and 4 antagonists. This is Windows 11, Ryzen 2700x, not overclocked, 16gb mem, RX 570 video card. Nothing abnormal that I can see in startup or services. Shouldn't there be a log to record these? I know I'm not the only one experiencing this. If a Log exists, tell me where to find it so I can send it in. Thanks.

Try looking in C:\ProgramData\Stardock\Galactic Civilization IV , there should be a zip folder called SDCrash.  This has all the files Stardock usually asks for.  You'll need to use Dropbox or something similar so that you can send them a secure link.  You can't just post the folder in the Forum.  Discord might have an easier way of posting.  It's free to join using the link on the Main Menu page.

It happens to me too.  As a matter of fact it just happened a few seconds ago to a game I've been playing for several hours. It's not the first time either.  It just goes POOF! that's all folks and suddenly I'm on the desktop with no more GalCiv 4 and it's still running when the Epic launcher pops back up on the desktop, then the game just stops running and it says 'launch' again.
