Auto-upgrade problem for techapod hatchery

once i got my techapod hatchery pod to lv 1 it wants to autoupgrade to 2 every single turn. can't find any way to disable this like the previous auto-upgrade checkbox. does anyone know a possible way around this problem or is this just a glitch at the moment?

All of the planetary resources seem to act like this, for me.  I haven't seen an option to turn it off.
