Scaling desktop (150%) and (DLSS)DSR

Windows buttons (close, minimize and move to taskbar) do not scale correctly

I have set 5160 x 2160 with 150% scaling as my desktop resolution, by NVIDIA DSR function.

As you can see from the image, the buttons in windows corners are different when scaling the desktop.

I would like all the buttons be like the buttons on the window of OS (settings), which is the one on the  backround.

I would also like the start button to scale correctly. It's a lot smaller than in the native resolution.

Please, if anyone does know how to scale the skins like they scale with the OS build in windows (the one on backround), do tell me.

Thank you

Here a few

  1. Your actual monitor resolution.
  2. Does the issue happen when you dont have Nvidia NSR function.
  3. Windows 7,8,10 or 11? Version of its numbers, you can use Winver.exe to get the full Windows version numbers.
  4. A screenshot of your start button.
  5. What is the Curtains theme you're using?
  6. What is the application/s you are showing in your screenshots.
  7. Any other details where might help us to understand your issue better and try to recreate it at out end.

Thank you,

I use an ultrawide curved 3440 x 1440 monitor, with DSR function and scaling (NVIDIA's new AI assisted DSR, it came out yesterday), to 5160 x 2160 (2.25x DL).

My system is running on WINDOWS 10 Ver. 21H1 (19043.1466)

Curtains theme "Midnight" with recoloring to red accents.

No the issue doesn't happen when in native resolution, all the buttons are the same size.

The application is "Brave browser" but it also happens in any other application, except windows OS windows, i.e. Windows Mail, Settings, Store.

Here is another example, the applications shown are (from top to down) Windows Mail, Screenshotting tool, Winver and NVIDIA CP.

As you can see, the buttons, which are supposed to be same size, are different sizes. I would like to have them all the size of the buttons on the top window. (The one that has text: Lähetä edelleen).

I'm also using Start 10, Stardock program as well, to change my start button looks and behaviour.

Here's a snip from the button, it's 1/3 of the native size.

The size of titlebar buttons in Curtains is determined by the operating system and not under the control of Curtains.  Factors which influence this are app scaling awareness, window style flags and app type.  Universal apps have an entirely different titlebar to standard applications.

That start button looks about right to me.  It has to fit within the taskbar including any transparent areas around the image.  Images in curtains styles are usually high resolution and scaled down for use depending on user scaling factor.
