Request for Icons to all you talented people out there

from WinCustomize Forums
Hello all - just started using a dock with XP and am looking for icons in PNG format for the following:

o An Italian "flag" for some Learn Italian software.
o A Creative Labs Jukebox 3 Icon.
o A Canon G2 (silver) Digital Camera Icon.
o An icon for Links 2003 (a golf ball or the Sergio Garcia icon ?)
o An icon for Tracks Eraser (like iClean).
o An icon for a Sony Ericsson T68i mobile phone.
o Icons for Lotus 1-2-3 and Lotus Freelance.
o An icon for a Canon S900 Printer.
o An icon for a Canon 1240U Scanner.

Any of the above additions to the Wincustomize dock library will be gratefully appreciated !

Are you sure you really want to use PNG icons. PNG takes up more time to process and require windows to load the PNG process handler, which also take more time. If you ask me windows is slow enough, even with a top of the line machine.

Um yeah I think he's pretty sure. Most of the ObjectDock icons are png, they look the best. PNG process handler? ...Sounds like someone likes to use big words .The dock just sits there, not like it's constantly reloading all the time.
That's great that you think Windows is slow. Just don't use it, I guess.

I don't know how I did it but I completely overlooked the fact that it read object dock, I guess I was too hung up on icons. That certainly changes things!

I don't know of many in PNG format that are available for you, but, if you really want them, my only advice would be that said by so many others, make your own.

Axialis makes a great icon generator capable of icon sizes up 128X128 that support alpha blending, surely this might be a good alternative for you. If not, then you better dust off the old photoshop software!

And of course, dont forget that they need tobe based on teddie bears. Cmon people, you need somthing for the kiddies.

Stockholm Syndrome & Raithe - thanks for your comments. I'll have a look for the Axialis software.

Mutilator .... if I was a "kiddie" then I'd probably know how to create these icons myself but as I am a mid thirties sales manager with minimal graphic/artistic skill and very little free time I was kind of hoping for a more helpful response. Teddy bears ... no thanks pal.

The Blue Baron........there were a huge selection of PNG's on one of the customisation threads on NEOWIN's forum. Its some time since i have looked but they had a thread there with literally loads that had been made and several peolpe were making PNG's at members requests. I am busy with other things at the moment and would normally had a trawl for you and thrown up a link but hopefully they are still there

Leo the Lion - many thanks I've bookmarked the site and will have a browse tonight. It also led to me finding PNGResource.com which also looks promising so thanks again !

Jafo, I think the famous Henri Estienne quote is something like "Si jeunesse savoit, si vieillesse pouvoit" ... "if youth knew, if age could" ... at times I know exactly what he meant !
