Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, not sure what you asking. You mean Taskbar button with label? Like in Windows 10? Please elaborate.

Thanks

I think he means the "never combine buttons" setting that Windows 7, 8, and 10 has. So multiple windows of the same app have two separate buttons instead of one button stacked on top of the other. Windows 11 removed this setting from taskbar options.

This option does not available yet in current version of Start11. I believe there will be more features added to Start11, specifically more on taskbar, when it get a new update soon. Probably on V1.1.

Thank you,

Really sorry to read that reply from Basj.

Ironically, this is the only messed-up feature in the whole Windows 11 Taskbar fiasco that actually matters to me.  The omission of "NeverCombine" has damaged the new OS so badly for me that I will not be installing W11 on my PC until this is rectified or I am assured of an alternative. I came to Stardock 11 website, specifically looking for this feature.

Why? Because I use the "Never Combine" feature extensively. The facility to visualise and track all open windows has existed since Windows XP and is a significant productivity tool. I work very visually and need to have all my tasks visible to me, so that I can pick them efficiently and deal with them. If there are many tasks and therefore too many icons on the Taskbar, I just open another layer of the Taskbar. Long ago, when Windows XP was new, I experimented with stacking the windows and this was a disaster - I kept forgetting tasks, duplicating work, missing deadlines and generally messing my work so much that I have permanently left Never Combine windows on, now for over a decade.

I might explore the Registry hack (#Sharma261), but I was hoping for an off-the-shelf solution - and registry tweaks tend to get disabled at the next Windows Update.

For now, I'll stay with W10 and look forward to the next version of Stardock 11.

A couple of things.

Firstly, at this current time the most widely used solution to the never combined issue is this program(explorer patcher) which is also a registry hack but is more simple to use and 100 percent compatible with start 11 (Windows 11 native start menu is also an issue so start 11 is required in my opinion)

https://github.com/valinet/ExplorerPatcher

Secondly, The only current solutions are to bring in the actual taskbar from windows 10 to windows 11. Never combined is the most requested feature right now so I would be shocked if the next version of start 11 doesn't bring in this feature. It would be the first time the native windows 11 taskbar has this feature.
