Trying to pay for Acoustig Bridge.

Hi all,

I have just installed the acoustic bridge trial and it works great - so great that I want to give Stardock some money. Problem is when I click the link in the app I get a message  saying "Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded". It does this on both the sender PC and the receiver PC...

I know it is possible to buy on the site direct but I am concerned that without this link on the app working I will have no way to enter the received code once I get it.

Anyone got any ideas?

Did you try a different Browser ?

I didn't use any browser - I clicked the "Purchase Acoustic Bridge" button in the app it's self. It decided something was wrong with my FireFox profile. Odd considering I am using FireFox just fine and dandy and second FireFox is not the default browser on the second PC - it's Chrome ... But it still complains about FireFox.

I can purchase it directly from the StarDock web site but there is literally no information (like search for it on StarDock and the app does not even exist). So I don't know how the registration works. If it's a registration program you run and unlock ... that's great. If it's a code number you put in after clicking that link - I would not be able to enter it. Given that there does not seem to be any support - I am obviously a little reluctant to buy until I know I can actuly use it.

any other questions ?

Yeha - How do I let Acoustic Bridge know that? I have not signed into anything in the app ... there does not seem to be a place to do that. Maybe it's behind the mysterious "purchase the app" button. Does that ask me to sign in? If so - and its not working ... then ... just how?

I really do love this app. It worked faultless first time out the box and seemed so much easier than the alternatives - to the point that I will be more than happy to pay rather than mess about with the free ones ... But come on StarDock - meet me half way and let me.

The acoustic bridge website is here : https://www.stardock.com/products/acousticbridge/

You should be getting a prompt from the app with three buttons, try, buy and unlock button I believe.   Buy would open your default browser, but it sounds like Firefox is set as the default browser for something as otherwise it wouldn't know to try to open it.

OK - I changed my default browser. It did finally open Chrome so I went through and paid - got a code number and exactly what I was afraid of happened... I have a code number and nowhere to put it in. After paying it just takes me back to the same pace. Clicking on the purchase button in the app just takes me back to the "pay here" page. So far I have paid £10 for a string of random letters that do nothing.

Any ideas?
