Bug: Black Screen after Communication Satellite Drone Fight

I am going to the Communications Satellite to talk to Jeff about Lexite data, and after beating the drones I get a black screen.  It seems to be a consistent issue; restarting doesn't remedy it, and I've already verified game files via Steam.

I’ve encountered the same issue, in the same spot, and done all the same things as the above poster with the same result. Even switched between the two Beta options and disabled Beta as well.
