Black Screen Bug After "Fate of the Sacra" Fight with v1.5

I encountered a bug I wanted to report while using the opted-in v1.5 beta. I've had great success so far running the game, but then I encountered a problem involving the fight in the "Fate of the Sacra" mission (leaving the name off for spoiler reasons). After the fight is successfully completed, the game gets stuck on a black screen with a visible mouse pointer and music playing. I have to force stop the game to break out of it.

Reverting back to the current non-beta release resolved this issue for me.

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

If you could upload a savegame to a cloud service (DropBox, Google Drive, One Drive) and post a link here, the developers can take a look at it.

Savegames are located in \Documents\My Games\Star Control\Saves

Hi - I just came across this bug and have the save game.  Let me know if it will still help to have a save game available to troubleshoot this for the devs.

It wouldn't hurt, I have obtained some savegames, but for different circumstances.

I just came across the same bug. Save has me right next to the planet and event. Should be easy to defeat as my main ship is pretty much fully upgraded... I think.

I’ve just encountered the same bug, but when trying to use the Jeff communication beacon for the Mowlings, in the DLC. Would the save game or settings file be useful here?
