When did you start using Windowblinds?

When did you start using Windowblinds?

I can't remember when I first tried Windowblinds. I really never was into skinning Windows. Don't get me wrong. I always thought it was  cool and very imaginative. For years I was a so called, "Power User" so I was always tearing down or getting rid of any unnecessary resources that slowed down my system. Kind of like a gear head for windows. If I could just get a few more ticks on the speedometer or tach I was happy. It was why I went from Windows 3.1 to 3.11 for work groups.  Windows 7 was  the first time I cared less about squeezing every ounce of speed and went with ( lol voice to txt anesthetics) anesthetics namely aeroglass.

Most of the things it used to do it doesnt anymore. I skinned it quite heavily with lots of function. Cannot use media player. and other things.

Not sure when, but I was a Stardock customer early back in the OS/2 days (A better Windows than Windows).  I still miss that OS.  I would have started using WindowBlinds after OS/2 was killed off and I was forced back to windows.

I haven't used WindowBlinds for several years now.

I started in 2000, maybe 2001; I do remember that I discovered Windowblinds after I got Icon Packager.

No working windowblind or Litestep anymore, but Winamp, Sysmetrix & DesktopX still run after some tweaking. I really enjoy this. Nijikon Fetchi 2024 - twenty years later:

Windowblinds 3 since I saw the Aquarium theme by Alexandria on Win98. I did try the now defunct Chroma,it was very promising which probably direct competition with WB,but somehow it shut down the website, stopped development when WInXp came out. What a shame.

I have been using since I joined WC under my old alias in 2005. Not what version of windowblinds that was.

My memory is a little blurry, but my guess for me would be anywhere from 2003 to 2009, somewhere around that time frame. I have a clear memory of using it in 2009, 2010, but it also seems like I was using it before then.

I must have collected at least 100 or more various .wba skins and themes over the years.....
