How to properly exclude UWP apps

Hi. I would like to know if there is a way to completely exclude any UWP apps from being skinned. I have tried to add the executable to the per application setting but the apps are still being skinned even after a full restart. The theme I am using is BetterAero7X (Better Aero7X (Version 2.5) by fytuf on DeviantArt)

Here's a screenshot of the Calculator app and my WindowBlinds 10 settings.

If anyone knows the solution please let me know. Thank you.

I've been looking for a way to do this myself. Nothing I've tried so far has worked but if someone from Stardock could answer a question for me I think I can get it figured out. Can WindowBlinds exclude something triggered by another application? It seems UWP apps are controlled by a host service so blocking that alone might create other problems.

I guess I'll just keep waiting. You'd think this would've been something figured out a long time ago...

I am afraid all uwp apps use the same process for window frames.  You could only exclude the main process to exclude all universal apps.  WindowBlinds cannot exclude on a per app basis for those apps

Thank you for the update. If we want to exclude all UWP apps, which process/executable should we exclude?

Looks to me like it's svchost.exe. I'm not certain but I think excluding that core process might cause other problems with WindowBlinds which is why I was curious about exclusion based on command line switches.

Answer found, see below.

Excluding svchost.exe did completely crash explorer at first and I had to do a full restart. But after a restart UWP apps were actually *kind of* excluded. However, now there's an ugly white border around them, regardless of what theme is used. I wonder what's causing this and if it is possible to get rid of it.

The process to exclude is applicationframehost.exe

You will need to reboot after.

This excluded all UWP apps from skinning perfectly. Thank you very much!

bonjour, je ne trouve pas : applicationframehost.exe pour pouvoir l'exclure

bonjour, l'exclusion et le redémarrage ne règle pas le problème

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Which problem was you referring to? Please post a screenshot of your issue. Also did you recheck if you setup WB to ignore "ApplicationFrameHost.exe" correctly. It should be a file inside your "C:\Windows\System32\" folder.

Thank you.
