Can't change Start Button in Windows 11 since update

But what works now on Win 10?

Simple I got Start 11 Beta and used it on Win 10. And could change the Start Button.

When I downloaded the Insiders copy of Winn 11, I could still change the Start Button, "BUT" once they released the first update to Start11 I can no longer change the Start Button? Any idea why?

I hope it will be back once the Massive Update hits Oct 7th... Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues.

Check to se if you have version .55 if not install that version

from your Stardock account .

Yep have that version. When I had the other it worked. Then once I updated it disappeared from the options?

I'm hoping it will be there again once the Oct 7th release comes out. "Fingers Crossed".

I think you may be misremembering.  No released version of Start11 has ever been able to change the start button on the Windows 11 version of explorer unless the OS is set into the special mode where explorer is tricked into running more like Win10 (with some serious side effects)

Start11 0.55 and 0.5 replace it on Windows 10 but not on Windows 11.

There are changes coming in the build this week.

When I first got it was 0.55 beta when I was in Win 10. Then O updated to Win 11 Pre Release Build when 0.5 replaced the first beta that is kind of what I figured.

I hope the one they release  on the 7th has that ability?

I just made a Usb Media Installation and downloaded Win 11 so I am going to do a clean install on my laptop and we will find out on the 7th. It's not a Deal Breaker I just always liked the feature. Thanks so much for the info.
