BUG - Game gets stuck when processing AI turns

I'm playing a game with the Altarians on an Immense galaxy against 17 opponents on the latest 4.2 version. Everything went fine until Turn 141 but then when I go to the next turn it gets stuck while processing the turn for Snathi Revenge. I even left it there for a few hours and it was still stuck on Snathi Revenge. So the AI triggered some kind of infinite loop condition I guess (I'm a programmer)

At first, I tried reloading and trying again but it did the same thing. Then I reloaded and declared war on the Snathi Revenge hoping to shake up whatever AI logic got stuck. And indeed then it was able to process the turn normally and for now, I'm unblocked, hopefully for good. However, that stuck condition is still an issue in general.

I loaded the savegame and managed to finish the turn without any issue. I then let the game soak for an additional 10 turns and no problem occurred. On which AI player does it get stuck?

Sorry, missed that.

What do you with the ships that have move-points left? I just put them on guard.

Did some more testing and got it to reproduce, once. I got it unstuck by destroying a Snathi fleet. But on the next try it didn't get stuck.

It can be avoided by staying zoomed-in on a tile without any ships.

I have been unable to get it to get stuck again. So I am unsure what is causing the problem.

Hi Rhonin,

Thanks for your prompt attention to this issue. Originally I did all sorts of different things with the ships that had move points left, some of them Sentry, others just Pass, others move somewhere. But now when I loaded it I just do Pass on all ships and I can reliably reproduce it getting stuck again on the first try.

I was able to get it unstuck originally by declaring war on the Snathi Revenge before hitting the Turn button.

Are there some debug logs I can provide from my own machine if you are unable to reproduce it reliably on yours?

I've tried this now once but it still gets stuck on my PC.
