Today when i played in version 4.3 When my enemy wanted to surrender and give their planets to his friends the planets dissapeared, i seen the trade routes what were bound to planets and asteroid minings but i didn't seen planets the planets dissapeared.
Whether the planets disappear or not on surrender is one of the game settings. The default is to make them disappear. I've made sure to change that setting.
one of the settings when you start the game is something like 'ai transfers colonies on surrender?', if you tick that then you get their colonies when they surrender or they give them to someone else. If you have it unticked they surrender and literally everything they have left will dissappear. My way around this is to just disable AI surrendering altogether
