Cannot place HQ or load into game

I bought the game on epic while it was free and everything was fine. Now I bought limited supply, europa and jupiter and I cannot play those gamemodes at all. When I try to load a europa mission I am stuck in the loading screen forever on "creating game server" and when I want to play limited supply, I can start a mission but am unable to place my HQ to start. I cannot even quit the game using the game menu. When I click exit to menu nothing happens.

The base game skirmish and campaign works, just not the DLC stuff.

Okay and now I tried to play the base game and even that is impossible for me. It says in the menu "requires purchase of the base game"

Edit: this particular issue has been fixed, the unplayable DLC content however still persists.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

Have you tried a total uninstall \ reinstall?

Have you tried the DirectX 9 option in the FAQ?

Hi Sean,

Reinstalling the game did not help. Also my game folder does not contain the directX files suggested in the FAQ. However I highly doubt that DirectX would be the problem as the game behaves normally from a "technical" point of view. For example me being able to start the missions from limited supply but just not being able to click anything anymore does sound more like a bug than something wrong with my hardware or drivers. For clarification the game does not freeze at any point, the DLCs are just unplayable for me.

I also had the time to check my 3rd expansion: Jupiter's forge which seems fine. So it's just europa and limited supply. One not being able to load the map, the other not being able to do anything once it is loaded.

This is what I was referring to:

-Launch the d3d9 version (PC)

Locate the game in your Steam library, right click it, select Properties, Set launch options, add this line: -force-d3d9

I added the command line parameters on epic and it did not resolve the problem. Since the DLCs are all listed as separate games I tried adding the parameter to the base game only and then to all DLCs as well. Neither option fixed the issue for me.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

I am afraid I am running out of options for you.  My last suggestion would be to try to run the game under a new Windows admin account:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/create-a-local-user-or-administrator-account-in-windows-10-20de74e0-ac7f-3502-a866-32915af2a34d

Under 'clean boot' conditions:

Hi again,

thanks for the reply but in the meantime I already had epic refund the DLCs. I guess my PC and the game just don't like to cooperate here so I'll stick to the base game for now and maybe give it another try when I get a new one. You may also close the SR/ticket I raised regarding this issue.
