AI Colony Ship Spam

It looks like every Class I and II planet has been colonized by the AI opponents. Is this going to continue? Are the AI opponents going to  claim every desolate rock?

Yes? And use them as feeders for their core worlds. It’s always a mad dash for colonies the only problem is in 3 your could make an exploration period by making a large map with a low AI count. 4 seems continue the exploration phase later into the game with the subspace streams but the early game is just crazy intense.

All of these small colonies that you end up with when you when a war(s) is won and you destroy an AI Race(s) will end up eating a LOT of Food, i.e. you are likely to have bad starvation problems sooner or later if you are pursuing a military conquest approach/victory.

It's a problem with AIs across the 4X spectrum in Civ6 some city-states spam Scouts, I bet if you look at the ships of one of the other races they are either spamming one type of Warship or like in my current game Asteroid Miners.

At least spamming colonies can actually help the AI, having 50 or 60 Asteroid Miners and 4 asteroids and not having "invented" the Slip Stream? tech, while being at war, not so much.

One way to stop the AI from having dozens of ships it can not use would be to have it value Treasure or Tech Fleets more.
