Warren Zevon dead at 56

RIP Guys

We have lost two of the greatest entertainers of all time! Two Johns, it blows me away, it's a sad day indeed

And now Warren Zevon, oh no

Warren finished up his farewell CD, Johnny Cash sang at the Awards, John went back to his roots and what he loved so he could have a normal job to spend time with his 4 yearold daughter.

*sigh*

Lets just hope Cash doesn't end up seeing that burning ring of fire.

One time at my Dads house we were out side around the fire pit, drinking beer & stuff, David (my hubby) put that song & we all sang to it...was fun

Warren Zevon worked on his last album before he died. Can't believe they died.

I was truly shocked to hear about John Ritter. I guess it just goes to show that no matter how strong a person seems, their number can come up at any time.

RIP John.

I wasn't sad to hear about any of them. Didn't like their music. Not heavy metal.

I was sad to hear about John Ritter. I liked him as the father in Problem Child 1 & 2. I also enjoyed watching Three's Company reruns on Nick at Nite.

Yes Kona0197 he was the father on 10 simple rules to date my teenage daughter......it's so sad, as it only was the second season. He was tapeing the show when he collapsed and died from a aeortal separation(a rare heart condition)I remember watching Three's Company in the seventies and I have followed his career ever since......I will miss that funny man.

When I was very young (7/8 years old) I loved watching old cowboy movies. Many of these movies starred Tex Ritter, the singing cowboy. Later, when his son showed up on the sitcom Three's company I started watching and found it enjoyable. Yes it was fluff, but a half hour of pure escapism was not such a huge sin. It is a sad thing when someone goes so unexpectedly.

It is sad indeed. John Ritter was so funny in Three's Company. It will be sad to watch it, now that he is gone.

I had the greatest respect for Johnny Cash too. As I do for many music artists. Their contributions to this world will carry one though, in their legacies to the entertainment world. So they may be lost to us but, not forgotten.

My prayers go out to their families. And, the artists themselves for the happiness they have brought me through the years.

No, but he played the father in "8 Simple Rules for Dating my Daughter" or maybe they added 2 rules when I wasn't looking..

I was at a Guster concert last night and they sang a Johnny Cash song "Burning Ring of Fire" as a tribute, that was first I heard that he had died. I didn't get into his music really, but he is a legend no doubt, and will be missed.
John Ritter though was a big surprise to all I'm sure. He will live on as Jack Tripper though.
