3rd CTD on trade screen when I clicked to open the other race info

Hello all, 

   Just checking this is the 3rd time today that I have CTD when I was in a trade and I clicked on the other races info screen to see what the had. Before it was resources x2 and this last time it was Techs.  Also on a side not when the race does want to trade with me they ask for amounts of resources I do not have. Say I have 2 Elerium and they want 7 for the trade. What happens if I say yes am I -5 Elerium?
